Copenhagen was our last stop as it was our first stop in Europe. Since we benefited from the hospitality of family for most of this trip, we decided to live it up our final day and stayed in one of the best hotels in the central section of the city. On the ferry we passed the new bridge which will connect Sweden and Denmark on July 1st, 2000 - a bellweather event. We were only 5 stories up at the SAS Royal, but had a grand view of Tivoli and train station. Our room actually had 2 bathrooms, which must be standard for a family room. We went to Bakken then found Chris at his 15th floor room - had dinner and the kids faded to bed as the adults stayed up a little later. The next morning we made the airport in plenty of time for an 8 1/2 hour flight to Toronto. After a mad dash through that airport we caught a quick flight to National where Mom Jean awaited... - August 21st - August 22nd, 1999
